A vehicle, e.g. a semi-trailer, has, at one end, three axles in tandem arrangement, each axle being connected to a pair of longitudinal leaf springs 14, 17, 20, the forward and rear ends of the front and rear springs, respectively, being connected to the vehicle at 21 and the other ends of the front and rear springs and the ends of the centre springs being slidably or pivotally connected to balance beams 22 pivotally connected to the vehicle at 26. The arms 23 and 24 of the beams 22 are of unequal length to give different loads upon the wheels. The connections at 21 may be pivotal or sliding.
