Abstract
1,114,677. Wall slabs; supporting permanent shuttering. WILSON'S TERRAZZO MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. 18 May, 1965 [22 May, 1964], No. 21186/64. Headings E1B and E1S. A permanent shuttering unit for a solid concrete wall comprises a pair of concrete slabs 1, 2 spaced by partly-embedded wire mesh 3. Each slab may be storey-high and six inches wide. The units are temporarily held in edgeto-edge abutment (e.g. by a chain, Fig. 3 not shown) against an upper horizontal beam while concrete is poured between the panels. Horizontal reinforcing rods, Fig. 6 (not shown), may be supported by the mesh. In a modification the mesh projects through the slabs to key units at wall-intersections, Fig. 2 (not shown).
