Abstract

111,306. Westover, O. July 26, 1916. Stoppers serving secondary purposes.-A cap or cover for bottles, jars, &c. for dispensing milk consists of a body A of glass &c. having means to engage the neck of the bottle and formed with a central opening a to hold a disk or wad B of non-absorbent cottonwool which permits the passage of air and at the same time protects the milk from dust and germs. The body A has four downwardly projecting lugs a<2> to fit over the bottle mouth, and the wad B rests on a shoulder a<1> in the opening a. A reinforcing paper ring C is glued or gummed to the upper surface of the wad.
