Abstract

An electric resistance heater unit is made by bonding a cupro-nickel element on to a first slab of glass-fibre reinforced resinous material by a " printed circuit " technique, covering the element with a second slab of glass-fibre reinforced resinous material and bonding the two slabs together by the application of heat so that the element is tightly sandwiched between them. The heat may be generated by passing current through the element or may be applied to the sandwich externally.
