Abstract
1,111,898. Domestic mixers; grinding. BRAUN AG. 1 April, 1966. No. 14472/66. Headings B1C and B2A. [Also in Divisions A4 and F2] A multipurpose kitchen machine has a housing pivotable at 11 so that in either of at least two positions it has surfaces 3, 13 which form part of a table top 1. A motor drives a high speed shaft 6, and through worm gearing 9, 9<SP>1</SP> an intermediate speed shaft 8 and a slow speed shaft 7. In various arrangements the housing may mount a mixing beaker (14, Fig. 3); a coffee grinder (15, Fig. 4); a citrus squeezer, (16, Fig. 5); a mincer (17, Fig. 6); a juice extractor (19, Fig. 7); an arm (20, Fig. 8) having stirrers depending into a bowl (23) rotatably mounted on a spigot (22); and a shredder (21, Fig. 9). The various output shafts may be provided in duplicate and the high, intermediate and low speeds may be 5,000-20,000 rpm, 500-2,000 rpm, and 50-150 rpm.
