Abstract
A process for the preparation of an alcohol-free aerosol anti-perspirant powder spray composition includes the steps of dispersing a particulate aluminium compound in a liquefied gaseous propellant, passing the dispersion through a screen and packaging the screened dispersion in an aerosol container. The aluminium compound may be the chlorhydrate, sulphate or chloride. It is preferred to use as dispersing agent an ester such as isopropyl myristate or palmitate, stearyl palmitate or propylene glycol mono-oleate, or mixtures thereof. The propellant may be a chlorofluorinated hydrocarbon or mixture of these, and the composition may also include a germicide and a perfume. The aperture size of the screen is preferably less than 74 microns, more preferably less than 44 microns.ALSO:A process for the preparation of an alcohol-free aerosol antiperspirant powder spray composition includes the steps of dispersing a particulate aluminium compound in a liquefied gaseous propellant, passing the dispersion through a screen and packaging the screened dispersion in an aerosol container.
