Abstract

110,994. Hunter, S., and Simon-Carves, Ltd. Jan. 8, 1917. Addition to 22189/13. Filtering-plant.-Washed material from a coal and like washing apparatus is delivered along a trough a to the primary inclined sieve b, through which the slimes and most of the washing water pass through a casing h into a settling tank c. The shaking sieve d, instead of being arranged above the primary sieve, as described in the parent Specification, is arranged below and receives the washed material from the primary sieve. From the shaking sieve the washed material passes into a tank g. The slimes from the sieves b and d are conducted by a pipe from the tank c to the trough a or to a fine sieve f delivering to the sieve d, or directly to the sieve b or the sieve d. In any of these cases, the washed material on the sieves serves to filter the slimes.
