Abstract

110,654. Pearson, J. June 15, 1917. Clothes horses.-Relates to a folding clotheshorse of the type in which arms pivoted to a central standard are connected at their outer ends to vertical posts. According to the present invention, the central standard 1, Fig. V., is provided with slots at right-angles at its lower end to allow it to interlock with a base formed of two pieces 7, 8 interfitting at right-angles. Fig. III. shows the horse expanded for use; when not required for use, the arms 2 are folded upwards so as to bring the posts 4 parallel with the central standard 1. In place of fitting the standard to the base 7, 8, it may be fitted into a socket, Fig. VI., carried by a post to be driven into the ground. The post may have projections 9 to engage the lower end of the standard.
