Abstract

1,106,337. Automatic exchange systems. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. 8 May, 1967, No. 52290/65. Heading H4K. Digit signals transmitted by a subscriber's keysender each comprise a D.C. signal and a combination of speech immune V.F. signalsoutband signals-which are evaluated in the exchange by a non-speech immune V.F receiver which is switched on by the D.C. signal or alternatively by a speech immune V.F. receiver in which case the D.C. signal is ignored. The D.C. signal is a brief loop interruption before each digit V.F. combination and is detected at the exchange as a transient oscillation in the V.F. range of an amplitude larger than the amplitude of any speech induced oscillations.
