Abstract

1,106,165. Wells &c. CHEVRON RESEARCH CO. 29, Sept., 1965 [30, Sept., 1964], No. 41439/65. Heading E1F. A formation surrounding a cased well is consolidated by packing-off each of a plurality of spaced casing perforations adjacent the formation. establishing a flow path from the earths surface to each of the perforations, applying pressure to consolidation liquid in the flow path to force the liquid through the perforations into the formation, ,metering the liquid passing through each of the perforations, and halting the flow of liquid to each of the perforations after a predetermined quantify has flowed thereto. Each perforation is packedoff by a resilient ring reciprocally mounted on the side of a tool and which may surround a shaped change for forming the perforation. The tool is supported by a tubing string forming the main part of the flow paths and constituting a passage for electrical cables leading to the meters, solenoid valves controlled by the meters, and the charges. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 972,830.
