Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1104969/C2/1> wherein R is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, chlorine, bromine or fluorine, R1 is hydrogen or a C2- 12 alkanoyl group and R11 is hydrogen or methyl, and their preparation by reaction of a steroid of formula <FORM:1104969/C2/2> with an acidic reagent. The compounds of the invention have progestational activity.
