Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1104535/C2/1> where R is a 5-membered heterocyclic radical containing nitrogen and sulphur and each of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1- 5 alkyl, phenyl, halophenyl, thienyl, C1- 5 alkoxy, C1- 5 alkylthio, phenoxy or phenylthio radical provided that when both R1 and R2 are other than halogen, at least one of R1 and R2 is hydrogen, and mineral acid addition salts thereof, and a process which comprises treating said compounds with a mild reducing agent containing an inorganic cation, and a strong base, to form compounds of the formula <FORM:1104535/C2/2> The first compounds above may be obtained by treating a compound of the formula <FORM:1104535/C2/3> with a compound of the formula NH2CH2R.
