Abstract

1,103,651. Strap fastenings. HARLEY PATENTS (INTERNATIONAL) Ltd. 12 Feb., 1965 [24 Feb., 1964], No. 6042/65. Divided out of 1,100,041. Heading E2A. A connector device comprises a body portion 35 having an aperture 38 herein, and abutment support 39 adapted normally to lie flat against the body portion, interconnecting means 41, 44 and 42, on the body portion and abutment support respectively arranged normally to prevent complete separation of the body portion and abutment support, but permitting relative movement to a displaced position, the abutment support affording a free-ended portion 48 overlying the aperture 38 and in the displaced position permitting a loop 50 of a strap or like to be passed through the aperture 38 and engaged with the portion 48. In another arrangement, Fig. 5 (not shown) the portion 48 is provided with a pair of ears (55) to prevent inadvertent release of the loop 50. In the arrangement according to Fig. 9 (not shown) a pair of supports 39 according to Figs. 4a, 4b is mounted on a common body portion, and in Fig. 10 (not shown), the abutment support is provided with a pair of freeended portions and with notches for securing knotted cords.
