Abstract
1,103,409. Radio position finding. DORNIER SYSTEM G.m.b.H. 29 April, 1965 [22 May, 1964; 27 Aug., 1964], No. 32019/67. Divided out of 1,095,355. Heading H4D. The Specification describes a system whereby the accuracy of missile hits on a simulated three dimensional target may be determined, using two of the doppler ranging systems described in the Parent Specification with reference to Figs. 1 to 7. By setting up two such systems T1 and T2 on the ground radiating in vertical fan beams, the position of a missile G as it passes through said beams may be determined from distance determinations a and b, and may be compared with the position of a simulated target. If the missile is to have a descending path S, Fig. 11, the transmitters may be radiated in inclined fan beams.
