Abstract

A coated sheet comprises a support coated with a layer which contains from 0.4 to 5 grams per square metre of one of the following amines; piperazine, t-butylamino-ethanol, t-butyldiethanolamine, N-(aminoethyl)-ethanolamine, P-menthane diamine, N-(aminoethyl)-piperazine; 1, 2, 4-trimethyl piperazine; 2, 6-dimethylmorpholine or triethanolamine. In the examples, a dispersion comprising the amine, polyvinyl acetate and optionally silica, sodium acetate or thiosulphate or urea, is coated on a paper support and coated on the back of the support is a solution of sodium thiosulphate, sulphate or acetate. The coated layer may contain other salts which release water of crystallisation on heating.
