[Also in Division H2] A toy is equipped with a propulsion motor 16 and a steering motor 17, a remote controller for these motors having an arm 13 adapted for both swinging and twisting movement. Swinging movement of the control arm causes sliders 22, 23, to move along conductive rails 24, 25, and bus-bars 27, 28, the latter being connected to a battery 30 within the controller housing. The circuit of the motor 16 is completed either through bus-bar 27 and variable resistor 35, or, for reverse operation, through bus-bar 28 and resistor 36. The arm has a central position in which the motor is disconnected. The motor 17 is controlled by twisting movement of the arm 13, a pair of conductive slides 41, 42, co-operating with stationary sets of contacts 43-45 and 46-48 for reversing the motor. The lower end of the arm 13 is formed as a journal 58 rotatably mounted within a bearing carrying a wire element 61 defining a pair of spaced arms serving as stops to limit swinging movements of the carrier element 62 for the slides 41, 42. The lower region of the control arm is formed as a coiled spring the upper end of which is anchored to a rod, and the other end to the carrier 62.
