Abstract
110,219. British Thomson - Houston Co., Carter, F. S., and Samuelson, F. Nov. 1, 1916. Separators.-An apparatus for separating liquids from gases comprises a series of stationary perforated disks e alternating with rotatable perforated disks d. The liquid deposited on the stationary disk gravitates to a channel f, and that on the rotatable disks is thrown off bv centrifugal force against the casing. If the velocity of the gas is sufficiently great, the shaft a may be driven by a screw propeller g. Otherwise an electric motor or belt drive is provided. Specifications 14544/09 and 11653/11, [Class 23, Centrifugal machines &c.] are referred to.
