Abstract

The description is the same as that of Specification 1,101,712, but the claims are directed to means for driving and supporting a false-twist spindle comprising rotary driving means having at least one circumferentially-extending driving surface, and magnet means spaced from the surface in the axial direction of the driving means, and spaced from the spindle by an air-gap, for urging the spindle into contact with the surface, so that the spindle is solely magnetically located circumferentially of the driving-surface.
