Abstract

1,100,874. Hydraulic transmissions. ETABLISSEMENTS RICHARD FRERES. 7 May, 1965 [4 June, 1964; 15 Dec., 1964], No. 19484/65. Heading F2C. [Also in Division F1] In an engine with an hydraulic transmission comprising a pump 11, Fig. 2, driving a motor 15, the compressor 7 is driven by a second hydraulic motor 12 connected by a pipe 18 to the hydraulic circuit 16, 17 of the main hydraulic transmission 11, 15. The pump 11 draws fluid through a pipe 21 from a supply tank 22 to which the exhaust fluid from motors 15, 12, is delivered through pipes 19, 20. In a modification, Fig. 5, the engine drives separate main drive-shafts 29a, 29b, e.g. in an endless track vehicle through independent hydraulic transmissions 11a, 15a and 11b, 15b, and the compressor is driven by a pair of hydraulic motors 12a, 12b, each connected to its associated main transmission circuit. The output of the pumps 11a, 11b, may be varied to vary the speeds of the separate tracks. In a further modification the engine drives a further hydraulic pump which supplies a hydraulic control and a further motor driving the compressor is actuated from the control circuit.
