Abstract

Electrical weakness due to susceptibility of the dielectric to perforation at points at which connecting tags are attached to electrodes is reduced in the wound foil capacitor shown in which the tag 6 is attached to the inner foil 4 half a turn before the insertion point of the outer foil 3. Tag 6 is thus situated in a region of the roll in which the outer foil 3 is separated from it by more than one dielectric layer 1, 2. The dielectric may be of synthetic resin, e.g. prestretched polystyrene. As shown, tag 6 is attached to foil 4 at a point displaced from the beginning thereof.
