Abstract

1,100,079. Compartmented box. G. AUBERT. 10 Aug., 1966 [4 July, 1966], No. 35719/66. Heading B8P. A box, consisting of longitudinal parallel walls 3, 4, Fig. 1, end walls 5, 6 and a bottom 2 has variable length compartments for housing machine parts, the compartments being formed by U-shaped sections 7 and removable vertical partitions 13 which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the box. The partitions are sandwiched between the end faces of the sections 7 which slide longitudinally in the box on ribs 12 formed on their undersurfaces. The upper edges of the longitudinal walls of the box have inward flanges in which the upper edges of the sections 7 slide. Projections 14, formed near the bottom edge of the partitions on each side, are entrapped between the bottom of the sections 7 and the base of the box thus anchoring the partitions. A compression spring is interposed between an end wall of the box and the adjacent partition to keep the remaining sections and partitions compressed.
