Abstract
1,099,939. Rotary drum mixers. H. C. SCHULZE. May 31, 1965, No. 22986/65. Heading B1C. [Also in Divisions B5 and F2] Asbestos cement, from which integral pipe couplings and fittings may be moulded (see Divisions F2 and B4-5) is mixed with water in an open ended circular section drum 206, rotated by a belt and pulley drive from electric motor 220, into which a fine spray of water is directed through an air actuated nozzle 200. The interior of the drum is formed with flights 209 and/or ribs 209a whereby the asbestos cement is axially and circumferentially displaced. The drum pivots at 226 to discharge the mixture.
