Abstract

1,099,644. Coin-freed vending machines. A. B. MOYER, J. B. S. MOYER and H. DIEBEL. May 21, 1965 [May 25, 1964], No. 21686/65. Heading G4V. A vending machine comprises a set of merchandising units 12 each mounted for movement between a dispensing and a loading position by link arms 33, 34 pivoted to the associated unit 12 and to the body, and stop means for retaining the unit in the loading position. The arm 34 has a hook pivot connection to a channel 38, and the stop means comprise a two-armed lever 40 pivoted at 42 on the unit and having a detent 41 engageable with the channel 38 to prevent return of the unit. Each unit 12 comprises a back plate 13 supporting an endless belt (23) (Fig. 1, not shown), providing article-receiving compartments and indexed by a coin-actuated electric motor 20. Access to delivered goods is obtained through a door in the front of the machine having a member preventing access to the units 12. A refrigerating compartment is provided.
