Abstract
1,099,624. Control of motors. STANLEY ELEVATOR CO. Inc. March 29, 1966, No. 13747/66. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G1] In a lift control system, ferromagnetic vanes are located in the shaftway at different levels corresponding to stations at which the car stops, two sets of vanes being provided for upward and downward travel respectively. A detector assembly attached to the car comprises transformer primary coil 57 and secondary coils 58, 59, each effective for travel in different directions. When a vane is interposed between coils 57, 58, transistor 70 is rendered non- conductive so that capacitor 96 charges sufficiently to make transistor 76 conductive. This energizes relay 86 which controls the motor driving the lift. The other secondary coil 59 controls a circuit similar to that controlled by the coil 58. The detector coils 58, 59 are located near to the amplifying transistors, so reducing the risk of picking up transient currents in the leads between them.
