Abstract

1,099,376. Pressurized dispensing containers. CARTER-WALLACE Inc. April 9, 1965 [April 13, 1964], No. 15062/65. Heading F1R. A device for heating the contents, e.g. shaving lather, of a pressurized dispensing container during discharge, comprises a chamber 28 of heat-conductive material mounted either in a chamber 16 for hot water, or in an exposed position for hot water to be run over it. The device has a valve-operating stem 20 which opens the container discharge valve 12 when the device is fitted to the container, a check valve 30 being located between chamber 28 and the container outlet, and a delivery valve 34, operated by a button 37, controlling discharge from chamber 28 to a nozzle 38. Chamber 28 may be in the form of a coil. To improve the filling of chamber 28, an insoluble gas, e.g. nitrogen, may be included in the container contents.
