Abstract

1,098,690. Road scrapers. JOSEF MEYER EISENBAU A.G. Nov. 10, 1966 [Dec. 22, 1965], No. 50364/66. Heading E1G. A road scraper for attachment to a vehicle 1 has at least one scraper blade 25 supported from a carrier element 22 through two knee joints 23, 26 each having spring means and rearwardly and downwardly extending links 24', 24" to force the blade into contact with the road surface. A number of blades is set across the width of the scraper, either in line or staggered, each connected with torsional means to two links 24" and two sets of knee joints, to allow for surface uneveness. The carrier 22 is arranged on an axial horizontal pivot 21 on a frame 12 to allow for transverse tilting and the frame 12 is supported on a parallelogram linkwork 13, 9, 6 raisable by a pneumatic jack 10, which may also act as a shock absorber or additional resilient suspension. The knee joints may have rubber or other torsion springs.
