Abstract
Polyacrylonitrile containing tin and having semi-conducting properties is prepared by polymerizing acrylonitrile at room temperature under the action of U.V. radiation in an aqueous solution containing at least 58% by weight of stannic chloride. The product can be isolated by precipitation with water. It is possible to carry out the process continuously.
