Abstract

109,610. Lassen, A. J. L. Sept. 13, 1916, [Convention date]. Capsules, applying. - In apparatus for making and applying bottle &c. caps, the finished capsule slides through a passage 12 into a pipe 23, 24 which delivers it beneath the capping-plunger 36. The spring-pressed plunger 36 works in a pipe 34 which carries a piece 37 to receive the mouth of the bottle and is reciprocated by a bar 32 operated by the cam 28 that actuates the plunger 3 of the cap-making mechanism. A spring 33 connects the plunger 3 and bar 32.
