Abstract

1,095,237. Injection moulding machines. PRESSENWERKE FREITAL VEB. March 3, 1965, No. 9113/65. Heading B5A. An injection cylinder 1 has an inlet 3 and a tapered recess 5 leading to a plasticizer worm 2, and the worm threads 6 effecting drawing-in of raw material have a smaller diameter than the threads 8 in the conveying zone. The flanks of the worm threads facing the conveying direction may have rounded edges (7) and the threads 6 may be knurled or toothed. The machine is designed for injection moulding rubber fed through the inlet 3 in the form of a band. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the inlet has an exchangeable bushing (10).
