Abstract

109,507. Nordstrom, S. J. Oct. 5, 1916. Plug cocks.-A cock for corrosive liquids is provided below the seat with a lubricant chamber 14, radial channels 13 at the larger end of the plug extending down the plug surface, as 13<1>, a vertical feed passage 12, and a closing screw 11 which may be screwed down to compress the lubricant in the chamber 14 so as to lift the plug slightly and thereby break any possible binding by rust. A loose bearing member, preferably a ball 20, adjustable by means of a screw-plug 16, is arranged under the plug. A projection 21 from the cover 3 acts as a stop in a groove in the shank of the plug.
