Abstract

1,094,655. Cantilever roof supports. W. E. & F. DOBSON Ltd. Jan. 25, 1965 [Jan. 25, 1964], No. 3285/64. Heading E1E. A mine-roof support bar 1 has a removable tubular, extension secured thereto by siliding engagement with a plug 9, a transverse locking pin 110 being provided as shown. A range of extension bars may be employed of modular length, the support receiving two bars in parallel which are interconnected by a top plate 6, see and 3 (not shown).
