Abstract

1,093,985. Wells. S. M. ZANDMER. March 22, 1966 [April 5, 1965; May 20, 1965; Jan. 5, 1966], No. 12518/66. Heading E1F. In a telescopic duct-forming device 100 for a casing 10 the outer member 13 of the device is closed by a plug 50 and the inner end of the device has a safety cap 80 provided with a part 75 carrying a non-return valve 73, both the plug and the part being formed from material readily soluble by acid to facilitate formation of the duct. The aperture left after the part is dissolved may be closed against flow in either direction by ball devices which may be lowered through the casing. A screen 120 of plastics or plastics coated steel is installed inboard of the plug.
