A floating jib crane comprises buoyant tubular members 1, 1a, Fig. 2 (not shown), which support tubular struts 2, 2a, 2b. A platform 6a carries a winch 5. Stabilizing members 7, 8 are provided, the latter being adjustable in height. A movable rocker beam 9 enables small loads to be lifted and moved horizontally without the crane being warped. The various elements may be releasably connected to facilitate transport. Fig. 4 (not shown), illustrates in plan an embodiment with barrelshaped buoyancy bodies 10. In each embodiment the buoyant members may be increased in number and arranged as the sides of a polygon.
