Abstract

1,092,975. Automatic exchange systems; transistor switching circuits. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. March 3, 1966 [March 3, 1965], No. 9380/66. Heading H3T and H4K. A subscriber's line circuit feeds the line with D.C. over a transformer OLU and transistor T1 which becomes conducting when the loop is closed, and a second transistor T2 having negative feedback by way of a capacitor C and threshold diode Z responds to dialling and supervisory conditions. The transistor T2, normally conducting, is cut off when T1 responds to the closure of the loop and capacitor C charges to reduce the potential at point B as indicated at D, Fig. 2. In response to dial impulses, the base current of T2 increases and it acts as a Miller integrator, giving the effect shown at E, Fig. 2. When release occurs, integration continues until point A reaches zero potential, G, Fig. 2. Transistors T3, T4 which are differently biased respond to dialling release conditions.
