Abstract

1,092,599. Automatic exchange systems. SIEMENS A.G. March 29, 1966 [March 30, 1965], No. 13734/66. Heading H4K. In a switching matrix utilizing single coil remanent relays, one end of each coil k11 is connected to an associated row conductor while its other end is connected to two associated column conductors via two oppositely poled rectifiers G111 and G112. By selectively energizing a row and either one of a pair of column conductors, a particular crosspoint relay can be operated or released. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 2, not shown) one of each pair of column conductors is permanently earthed and crosspoint actuation is effected by applying positive battery to a row conductor while earth is applied to the other one of the pair of relevant column conductors. A crosspoint is released by applying negative battery to its row conductor in conjunction with the permanent earth on its one column conductor.
