Abstract

1,092,592. Harvesting. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. March 5, 1965 [Nov. 24, 1964], No. 9437/65. Addition to 1,086,897. Heading A1F. In a header attachment for a harvester siimlar to that described in Specification 1,086,897 the free ends of the augers 17, 18, 17<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>1</SP> extend over the crop collection area 14. Each auger is mounted on a driven shaft 32 journalled in bearings 37, 38 in a fixed tube 34 which is rigidly fixed to the framework of the header. Disposed between the cutter bar assembly 11 and the augers 18, 18<SP>1</SP> are two stone guards 54 (Fig. 1) which comprise upper and lower members 57 and 51 respectively.
