[Also in Divisions H3 and H4] A cabinet, e.g. for a television receiver, is formed of interlocking plastic panels, the the four side panels 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, Fig. 1, being provided, along adjoining edges with complementary projections 7 and 8, Fig. 4 (not shown); adapted to fit into each other -fastening means 9 being also provided to hold the panels together, and along their front and back edges with grooves 14 adapted to engage the edges 15 of a front panel 3 and the corresponding edge of a back panel, the front and back panels thus being clamped between the side panels. Each side panel is formed with a reinforcing flange 4 possibly together with ribs 5. The fastening means 9 may comprise metal brackets secured to the panels by nuts and bolts, the bolt heads on the nuts being captive in the panels. A hole 9a may be provided in the bracket for use in mounting the cathode ray display tube. The back panel may be in the form of a frame having a removable centre portion. The top and bottom panels may be each covered by material secured at its side edges by gluing on to the outsides of the outer flange 5, Fig. 5 (not shown), and having its front and back edges lying between projecting borders 17, Fig. 3 (not shown). The side panels 2a and 2b may be similarly covered. Ornamental strips 18 and 19 may be provided to respectively cover joints in the material covering and form a frame for the display tube. Alternative to the gluing the side edges of the material may be pinched in between the adjoining edges of the side panels, and ornamental strip 19 may pinch the front and back edges of the material.
