Abstract

109,194. Hayhurst, W. Jan. 6, 1917. Tanks and cisterns.-In a metal vessel for acids &c. that is lined with one or more layers of tiles, the joints between the tiles are formed by rubber composition &c., which is subsequently vulcanized by steam under pressure. The edges of the tiles may be roughened or grooved to receive the composition ; or the composition may be applied as strips placed round the edges of the tiles. The vessel may be coated with cement or vulcanizable material before the tiles are applied.
