Abstract

1,090,706. Cement burning apparatus. CKD PRABA, OBOROVY PODNIK, ZAVOD PREROVSKE STROJIRNY. Oct. 1.5, 1965 [Oct. 17, 1964:1, No. 43834/65. Heading F4B. Apparatus for burning cement raw materials comprises a preheating shaft 1, a preliminary calcining shaft; 2 with a burner 20, a rotary kiln 4, and a cooler 3, in which a gas conduit 6 from cooler 3 enters the kiln inlet chamber 5 tangentially, opposite but offset from the opening of a gas conduit 7 leading to said shaft 2, and a materal conduit 24 enters the end wall of inlet chamber 5 from a cyclone separator 9 fed from shaft 2. Raw material fed pneumatically from hopper 25 to shaft 1, then passes via conduits 11 and 7 to shaft 2, from thence via conduit 8, cyclone 9 and conduit 24 to the kiln 4 and from thence to cooler 3. Hot gases from the kiln, diluted in chamber 5 with air from cooler 3, pass via conduit 7, shaft 2, conduit 8, cyclone 9 and conduit 10 to shaft 1 from which cyclone separators 15 pass them to waste duct 18.
