Abstract
An alloy suitable for use as a welding material comprises:- .C.0.7 - 1.0% .Cr.26 - 30% .W.18 - 21% .Ni.4 - 6% .B.0.005 - 0.1% .Si.0 - 1% .Mn.0 - 1% .Fe.0 - 3% .V.0.75 - 1.25% the balance being cobalt such that the ratio of cobalt to chromium is at least 1.4 to 1.
