Abstract
1,087,513. Mould. VEITH-PIRELLI A.G. Feb. 28, 1966, No. 8743/66. Heading B5A. A mould, in which plates of e.g. rubber, may be compression moulded comprises a steel base plate 1 and side walls formed by fillets 2, the fillets being releasably located in grooves 3 around the edge of said base plate by means of wedges 4. In this way the fillets are easily interchangeable in order to facilitate the manufacture of thicker or thinner plates. Both the wedges and the fillets may carry projections (7 and 5, see Fig. 2, not shown), which engage corresponding undercuts in the grooves thus obviating any movement of the fillets during the compression moulding.
