Abstract

A mould for injection or press moulding comprises two mould plates on one of which are provided moulding formations of hard steel and on the other of which are provided cooperating moulding formations of a softer steel, one of a moulding formations being in the form of a projection from the surface of the plate and the corresponding moulding formation having a planar force to co-operate with the projection. The production of flashes at the joint between the two moulding plates is eliminated thereby eliminating subsequent removal of the flashes and reducing costs.
