Abstract
1,086,513. Filling and sealing sacks. FISONS FERTILIZERS Ltd. July 30, 1965 [May 5, 1964], No. 18574/64. Heading B8C. Sacks are laterally supported between two vertical walls 2, whilst they are filled with granular material and sealed. In the embodiment shown a slat conveyer 1 transports the sacks, which may be of plastics material, from the filling point, at which there may be a vibrating platform 6 to consolidate the contents fed from a spout 3, to the sealing device 10. U-shaped members (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), hinged to both walls press the mouth of the sack closed prior to its entry into the sealing device. In another embodiment the two walls form part of an open-ended box containing the sack during filling and sealing.
