A rig for sinking casing I by rotary oscillatory motion comprises a strut 17, a guide member 19 on which a guide 23 on the casing slides, and arms 11 extensible and contractable to oscillate the casing, the arms also being together extensible or contractable for adjustment of the angle of the member and the casing to the ground. Each arm has rams 14, 15 for respectively providing the oscillatory motion and adjusting the angle A core extractor 25 removes debris from the casing.
