Abstract

Perforated-tube and like multiple-jet burners. - In a multiple-jet burner in which gaseous mixture is supplied, to an internal tube or casing having apertures on the side opposite the flame orifices, the internal tube or casing is mounted, so that the position of its outlet apertures relatively to the imperforate surface of the outer tube or casing can be varied. Fig. 1 shows the application to a perforated-tube burner closed at its end by a cap b and provided with cross-slots a<1> having in some cases gauze or like metal coverings. The perforated inner tube f is mounted on trunnions i and rocked by means of a screw k in conjunction with a spring l. In a second form, the axis of the inner tube f may be inclined to the axis of the outer tube, and the inner tube may be eccentrically mounted. In a third form, the inner tube f, Fig. 4, is adjustable longitudinally by means of a screw o, and its inner end is provided with an orifice m and with a star-shaped guiding- member n to allow the passage of the gaseous mixture.
