A tubular box for powder or liquids is foldedup from a cardboard blank 1 to which is glued internally a paper foil, plastics &c. lining 2 which extends only as far as lines 3 parallel to the top and bottom edges of the blank, the ends of the box being closed by flaps 15-18 having fold lines formed by extensions of fold lines 4, 5 comprising the edges of the box and diagonal fold lines 21, 22. Cut extensions 6 0 , 7 0 of fold lines 6, 7 forming the other edges of the box separate the end flap 18 from its adjacent flaps. The lining 2 is glued over a triangular area 27 only to the flap 18, adjacent triangular areas 28, 29 remaining unsecured. A line of perforations 24 separates the flap 18 into two areas 18a, 18b. To seal the end of the box, the two opposite triangular portions 15a, 17a of the flaps 15, 17 are turned inwards, thus folding these flaps along the lines 21. 22, so that the flap 16 can be folded down on top, Fig. 2 (not shown). The unsecured triangular areas 28, 29 of the lining 2 are accordingly folded inwards along lines 25, 26 over the central secured lining area 27, to overlap at (32), Fig. 2 (not shown). Finally, the area 28 of the flap 18 above the perforated line 24 is glued on top of the flap 16. To open the box, the flap 18 is torn along the line of perforations 24, and folded outwards, Fig. 3 (not shown), the torn line forming a tongue (18a). The remaining flaps 15, 17 are then folded outwards. The box can be reclosed by folding the flaps 15-18 inwards and inserting the tongue (18a) through a, slot 23 in the flap 16.
