Abstract

Gases, treating electrically.-In an ozone-generator, the metal plates A, A<1>, between which air or oxygen is passed are embossed to form projections A<2>, A<3>, which space apart the dielectric plates B and register with one another so that the uniformity of distance of the metal plates is preserved. Each metal plate may have four such projections, arranged at the cornersof a square. End slabs F<1> overlapping the projections are engaged by screws F in frame plates C to compress the assemblage of metal and dielectric plates. The metal plates may be threaded alternately on upper and lower pairs of terminal rods E, E<1>, which rest at their ends in recesses in battens D on the frame plates. The dielectric plates rest on the lower rods E<1>, and may be removed laterally after the compression is relaxed. Bolts C' surrounded by insulating spacers C<2> connect the frame plates C. The whole may be mounted on castors G.
