The cutting means of a mineral-mining machine traversable of a seam face comprises a pair of bucket wheels disposed in the direction of travel of the machine at either end of the motor body of the machine to project laterally of the body towards the face and so mounted on the body as to be swingable with respect thereto about an axis parallel to the direction of travel.
