1,080,636. Gearing conveying rotary motion. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Feb. 21, 1966 [Feb. 19, 1965], No. 7594/66. Headings F2K and F2Q. A device producing stepwise rotation of an output shaft 13 comprises a pawl 3 drivingly connected to the shaft 13 by an Oldham-type coupling 7, 9, 12 and rotatably mounted on an eccentric 2 on a continuously or intermittently rotated input shaft 1, a spring 5 resiliently coupling the pawl 3 to the shaft 1, the pawl co-operating with a series of fixed stops 8 on rotation of the input shaft 1 so that the pawl engages and rides off successive stops due to the action of the eccentric and the spring 5, to advance in a stepwise rotation. Stops 14, 6 on the shaft 1 limit the rotation of the pawl relative thereto. The number of steps per revolution may be changed by exchanging the ring 4 carrying the stops 8, or alternatively, a disc having removable pin stops 8 may be used.
