[Also in Division F2] In a pneumatic control system, a switching valve 12 connects an actuator 5 and a chamber 33 to a supply of gas 3 when the pressure in the chamber 33 is below a lower level, and to a low pressure zone when the pressure in the chamber 33 is above an upper level. With the valve 12 in the position shown, inlet 14 is open and exhaust port 16 is closed and gas is fed via a pressure regulator 60 and a manual control valve 8 to the actuator 5 and also via a restriction valve 46 to the chamber 33. When the pressure in the chamber 33 builds up to the upper level, the toggle 22, 26 operates closing inlet 14 and opening exhaust port 16. The pressure applied to the actuator 5 drops, and the pressure in chamber 33 decreases through restriction valve 48 until it reaches the lower level to reset the toggle. The actuator 5 operates a valve controlling the flow of gas to a siren 2.
